Hey, Last friday i ent and visited a school at Selby which does VT aswell.

They wre really honest and they admitted they hated the idea when when the school first started it, but now they love it and it has brought all the years together and one another hang about with eah other not only inside school but outside school aswell.

I personaly think that eve though ardly nobody will like this, when we have been doing it for a couple on month's we will start to see the positive's about this.

Thanks Jordan!

(p.s) Selby studends that took music on get to play guitarand use a PS2 for music related games :D not fair lol)

Hardly, Joe.

Its called experience - and the only way to get a fair idea of something that you have not been personally exposed too.

Students spoke just to Selby students without staff present and without any constraints on their questions.

I think that nobody apart from the students who visited these schools ever got the real idea of the whole system. How it works, how people get along and so forth.

You are still able to ask questions of people who are at Selby School and get their honest opinion on how what the change to vertical tutoring has been like. Just look at the information at the top of this page.

Well, since when do we believe people on word alone?

If someone tells you it's great, fantastic and amazing, you're going to go try it first before buying.

I don't think that is necessarily true. I do often take people at their word when they tell me something is great and unfortunately it isn't always possible to "try before you buy" as you put it. I haven't looked in to this myself but I suspect it would prove to be impossible to take the whole school to have a look at Selby High, all those of us who are left behind can do is talk to those people who have been and try to approach this with an open mind.

In this case I think the sheer volumn of people who are recommending the new system is incredible. I haven't been to Selby either but I've spoken to people who have and I have listened to the people on these forums who have been and not one of them has had anything negative to say about the system at all. The only negative comments I have heard have been from people who haven't been and are, understandably worried about such a large change.

I've been to Selby, and maintain that the system is too greatly flawed to make it worth the time and effort already spent.

I'm a revolutionist if I agree, and I'm a revolutionist if I disagree...

I might as well embrace it then.

It's all we ask.

Besides, that's life's leitmotif-or is it paradox?

It may be simpler to revolt against both.

We all know that the school has made up it's mind and we can do nothing to stop that. We will just have to get used to it. Revolting would only make it worse anyway.
